Portraits long distance - Process and Procedure

Painting an oil portrait by long distance may seem less than ideal. However, with today's communication technologies it is possible to overcome distance and achieve a fine portrait. Good photo reference is a vital ingredient whether across town or across the country. If you can provide good reference from existing photographs, this may be all that is required. Depending on the scope of the portrait assignment, I can direct you to shoot and provide photo reference that will result in an excellent likeness.
