Procedure

After the initial consultation where subject, media, placement of completed portrait, props, clothing and pricing have been discussed, Perri sets up a series of posing sessions based on the availability of the model. These sessions may start with a small color study and photographs to help determine positioning and lighting. For portraits based entirely on photographs, several shooting sessions may be required to capture a sense of mood and personality.

Based upon the photographs and sketches and/or other provided reference material, the portrait is completed at her studio. A photograph of the finished portrait is sent for approval; alterations, if necessary, are incorporated. The portrait is then shipped upon completion. Framing can be arranged by the client or Perri can work with a local Dallas framer.

All travel, accommodations as well as shipping expenses are additional. Multiple props, pets and specific backgrounds require additional charges. Two figures in one image will double the cost of the portrait. A deposit of 1/3 is made to secure a place in Perri’s schedule, 1/3 is due at the photographic or color sketch session, and the final payment is due upon receipt and approval of the artwork. Perri is not completed with the painting until the client is entirely satisfied with their portrait.
