"Steps to a Likeness" Oil and Pastel Videotapes and DVD’s

Perri has been invited to participate in the production of two 90-min. videotapes: creating portraits in either pastel or oil.

The "Steps to a Likeness" series has been released by Love of Art Productions' TeachingTapes.com. The process of rendering a pastel or oil portrait is demonstrated with detailed instructions, tips and explanations of why something is important (i.e., the thinking process). Perri shows you how to achieve a likeness in your portraits with comprehensive step-by-step instructions in measuring, color mapping, warm and cool toning, and using 'lost' and 'found' edges. Of value for both the beginner and the more advanced student, these tapes help demystify the process of working from a live model. "Steps to a Likeness: Pastel Portraits" was given an excellent full page review ‘Bringing Them to Life' by Deborah Christensen Secor in the February, 2004 issue of The Pastel Journal. " …Loaded with detailed information about how to paint a portrait in pastel from start of finish," "this is one video that you’ll want to have in your collection!"
